A study of the ilmenite-ritano-magnetite ores mineral composition, the South-East Gremyakha, and the choice of

The article presents the results of development for computer-aided planning in open-pit mines with the system of mining design and planning – MINEFRAME. There have been shown such peculiarities of computer-aided planning process as horizon reserves, development of annual cutbacks, searching of quarterly (monthly) volumes, scheduling of equipment operation placed on benches, solution of the problems of ten-day periods – daily and by shifts planning based on bench modeling.

Mineralogical and technological investigations of low-grade serpentinite copper-nickel ores, the Pechenga ore body

Using methods of nuclear reactors physics the phenomenon of potential criticality has been studied within the framework of the concept of geologic repository of the non-processible spent nuclear fuel of the ship nuclear power installations. For the fractured rock mathematical model the minimum thickness of fissile material (UO2) on cracks' surface conforming to critical masses of heterogenous deposits have been determined. The scenario of autocatalytic criticality originated by change of a climate and developed at the expense of heating of medium, and water-transport from pores and cracks of rock has been described. The conclusion about preferability of the concept of termporary storage of non-processible spent nuclear fuel has been made.

Regularities of low-grade copper-nickel ores grinding in drum mills

The paper presents the investigation results of the material and mineral composition of a new type of sulphide copper-nickel mineralization in the Pechenga ore field represented by lean finely disseminated ores in serpentinized peridotites. The peculiarities of the material composition of ores affecting their processing properties have been identified. Basing on the mineralogical and petrographic research flotation concentration flow sheet has been developed; in locked cycle conditions it helps to obtain copper-nickel concentrate with content of nickel over 4 % with recovery about 60 %.
